- What do these verses mean to you?
- Which part of scripture stands out to you the most? (Feel free to doodle!)
- How can you show your faith today?
When I think of courage, Tris is one of the first people I think of. Her determination and bravery are what set her apart from the rest of the group. Her fearlessness led her to amazing places. She broke out of stereotypes and learned that freedom comes with a price.
In many ways, her story is similar to those of several Christian martyrs. These people have given their lives for their faith. Tris was willing to die for her cause and that's what made her so powerful.
Imagine what it would be like if we lived that way about our faith. I'm definitely not saying that you should disobey the law or get yourself in trouble for Christ; the Bible clearly states who He wants us to obey. I'm saying how much more we would accomplish with a passionate, no-quit attitude about spreading the Gospel. It's why we're here, after all. If we let courage run our hearts instead of fear, how many more lives would be changed?
Tris inspired a band of people to follow her in what she was doing. Most convincing was her willpower to set things straight. If we encourage our Christian friends to light a fire in their hearts as well, we too will accomplish amazing things in the name of Jesus.
I encourage you to be bold in your faith. Have courage in Christ! This life is for making disciples and teaching others about God's Word. We have the power to change this world! Let's do it!
